of a honey tangerine orange. i had a craving for sweet orange and the honey tangerine i bought a couple of weeks ago was just there by the counter. i opened the orange, a bit dried up but i like it that way. however, when i bit into it, it tasted like fermented juice and there went my orange craving. good thing i have the Dole brand mandarin segments in a jar in the fridge. great for salad greens with poppy seed dressing to accompany the grilled maple salmon for dinner. a long time ago i would down this with gewürztraminer but now i won't risk having vertigo, bad enough i can't go around a lot.
we are starting the second wave of COVID-19 and new restrictions are in place. the young lady in the building who was adamant she would not wear a mask is now wearing one and friendly with me again. a few of the dissenters are also wearing masks now. still, there are a couple of assholes who just blatantly go around the building without masks.
This is a great photo, Jerry bought some Tangelos yesterday, so delicious!
It seems so simple, just wear a mask. Your adjective for the folks not wearing a mask is spot on.
Dry citrus is definitely not something I enjoy!
Neither are assholes. If people would have taken this more seriously in the first place by staying home, keeping more than the "safe" distance, wearing appropriate face coverings PROPERLY and keeping them sanitized, washing their hands frequently and thoroughly, sanitizing all groceries and mail and everything anyone touches, then we wouldn't still have this dire predicament. I mean, I hate wearing masks and taking all the precautions, too, but geez. It is NOT just a flu!! I guess until it affects one personally, it doesn't really exist...
@aikiuser - right on, sister! i personally know of someone whose mother died (not COVID related) in the hospital in april without seeing anyone of her family, and the family wasn't able to bury her properly. a couple of young women i know had their weddings cancelled and lost quite a lot of money in the process. a friend of my sister closed her business. and the a-holes say it's just a way for the government to impose more rules on us, to control our activities, to curtail our freedom. unbelievable, isn't it?
We have not had much let up in positive cases and more deaths are being reported in the county too. I have not made too many changes in my behavior since March. Staying home with brief trips once or twice a week. Always with a mask when going somewhere I might encounter other people. Flu shot is in my sights now. I'm going to try to wait a bit longer so it can last further out.

Sorry to hear about the new go around with Covid perhaps those people that are still living will take the guidelines more seriously!

However I was never rude to those who wore masks way back at start of All This, and comply properly now I have to!!!
Stay safe Vikki, avoid fermented fruit and other people!!
