it's hard to do product photography, especially jewelry. the lighting and positioning is important to catch a viewer's interest. i wanted to be consistent with my tuesday high keys but i'm seriously running out of props. so this is all i have to offer for today.
i saw yesterday that the city workers were clearing the ice on the side of the road, mainly to get the traffic back to normal. i prayed that it wouldn't rain overnight and it didn't. so as soon as the sky lightened up, i grabbed my coat and went for my usual walk. every cell in my body was singing 'alleluia'. i did pass by a couple of icy patches, that were a tad challenging to navigate. one was a whole slab of the pavement, about five feet that was just plain ice, the one side was the road and traffic, the other was a mound of ice and fencing the sloped toward a ravine. so i backtracked, gaged the distance then ran and jumped over the thing. when i landed i almost lost my balance, but i must've looked like a drunken sod to the people in the cars. i went on as normal although my knee was complaining for a good ten minutes and i was limping for a while. then again at lunchtime, i went for a short walk but i crossed to the other side so i didn't pass by that darn portion of the sidewalk again. good lord! i haven't jumped like that since i was 14!
I find it very hard to believe that YOU are running out of props! These are very elegant and a great photo of them with wonderful light which is neer easy with bling!
Jumping is something I do with rarity anymore and definitley jumping over ice (if we had any) will never happen again in my lifetime!
@30pics4jackiesdiamond - i know, it quite spooked me. and i was even shooting my mask to post. now i don't even want to look at it through the lens. giving me the heeby-jeebies!

Meanwhile, this is fabulous.
Like this photo, but had a look at your calendar and it looks amazing! Keep up the good work!
Well done for jumping and staying in one piece.
