re #1 - i have never thought that it could be used to crack nuts but i supposed it could. i do have a nutcracker that looks much different than my lobster/crab cracker.

I like the colors and the repetition of the pattern in this one. It’s a fabulous macro shot and I am going with the others on a pinecone. If you look at it a little further out you should be able to see the Fibonacci spiral in this one or the golden ratio.
