Well, Liatris normally attracts insects but I haven't noticed many this year. We don't really get enough sun in our woodsy gardens for this plant to thrive but it gets by. Other years, I've captured various butterflies visiting the stalks. Now that I've posted this pic, the butterflies will return ... lol
i've seen this flower only once at our royal botanical garden. i don't see it in any of the gardens around here in toronto. i love purple flowers. this one's so unique. great shot, anne.
I love the lacy fingers of this flower! Very beautiful - and yes, now that you posted it, the butterflies will come in droves...that's the way of things.
