The stalks sort of look soft ... but not so much! lol. I have a couple of clay pots, each with a variety of cacti that I put outside each summer. They love the extra light. Never occurred to me to take a pic of them until 365 .... ;-)
365 makes you look at everythign differently, doesn't it? In a more appreciative way, certainly. :-) They do look soft...in the thumbnail, I thought it was a jar of tiny cucumbers with their spines still on. :-)
Very cool shot! I love all the details. I've had the same experience at 365. It's one of my favorite parts about this project - the fresh look at all the beauty around me.
It's a lovely photo Anne. I haven't grown many, got one it's about 11/2 ft tall, the spines are soft toward the top, as you get lower they are hard and spiky.
they look like those hairy worms that make you itchy all over. don't like both. but this is a very nice close up, anne. great details, and too many spikes!
