Eight of us enjoyed a morning stroll along the ridge of Barron Canyon, part of a provincial park less than 2 hours from home in central Canada. There are 6 or 8 lookout points on the maintained part of the trail and this is the path between two of the lookouts.
@timandelke only 1.5 km, elke! i was having a good feet day (I have rheumatoid arthritis) and wanted to go again but no one else wanted to. There's lots of place to walk if someone wanted to go further. We just did the loop leading from the barron canyon parking lot up to the views along the ridge of the canyon and around a different path back to the parking lot. steep at the beginning but easy walking.
those trees .. !!! Standing guard over the earth like true soldiers.. I hope you enjoyed the hike as much as this picture states you did.. what a nice touch for me.. I weary of this rain! Thank you for the sun, I've forgotten what it looks like.
