I have several dozen different Hostas in the gardens and they are starting to look droopy now that we've had a few cold nights. I took these pics in the pouring rain a few days ago.
"Love Pat" is on the left. It's normally more bluish but turned green late in the season. It's rugged, wrinkled and tough, kinda like me. "Whirlwind" is on the right, with dark green margins and an amazing white centre with green veins. They're probably the last of the hosta pics for this season.
Many thanks for dropping by and for your amazing comments on yesterday's pic of Kala. She's Barry's [@poppa] pride and joy. I'm mostly liking her too ... ;P
I love hostas too, Anne! I think that every yards needs them. These are gorgeous . . lovely textures and colors. They're pretty tough and good survivors.
@carmichaelbev thanks bev, yes they're pretty slug resistant. We have so much shade here that we need shade tolerant plants. These and most of the other hostas would do better [grow bigger faster] if we had more sun, but they stay healthy in the shade and that's what we're happy with. i think the natural dimples on "love pat" and the pouring rain have thrown some people off a bit.
your collage is great!
