Busy day with the grandchildren so not a lot of postable shots ... this one shows our granddaughter's Santa that hangs on a cabinet near their front door. It's extra special because it was painted by our good friend and neighbour, Pat! Her husband Glen did the wood work. It's about 14" tall and is hanging just below our granddaughter's eye level. The very best kind of Christmas decoration!
One of my favorite things about Christmas is unpacking all the decorations and reminiscing about who made them or where we were living when I bought them. There are special memories within each one.
wonderful Christmas memories for the kids. my father used to make little wooden stuff for me when i was little, the most memorable was a miniature 'living room' set that he and my mother had to stuff in an oversized sock. one of the few good memories i have of my father. nice shot, anne.
Your friend is very talented! Wonderful pic and story! I thought about you and your awesome bird pics today, Anne. I was at my mom's trying to get a decent bird pic. It didn't happen! The birds just flew to the top of the trees and laughed at me. :0)
Echoing several others about unwrapping the decorations and remembering where they came from or who made them---the most fun of all. The kids must love this one....so cute!
