When you travel through the rock-cut in the pic I posted yesterday, then over the huge bridge, this is the view up-river. Again, it's not a b&w shot, just a grey day. You can seen hints of colour --- the pine needles at the shoreline on the right, the evergreen needles in the foreground.
Beautiful scene. My shot taken yesterday wasn't in black and white either but looked it because it was such a gray looking day. You shot looks so pretty with all the snow covering the trees.
wow ~ I too am surprised this is not a b&w, but do see some subtle shades in the sky and trees upon closer examination. nice shot ~ do hope you see some sun soon, however ;-)
This shot is stunning, Anne. Honestly. I was blown away that it isn't in B&W. What is the box like thing with the reflection in the water just behind the foreground evergreen tree on the left? I'm puzzling over what it could possibly be.
@lauriehiggins thanks laurie! there's a string of them --- they're part of the support structure for an old bridge. Now they are popular hang outs for young people who use them for sunning and diving on hot summer days. You can just make out the ladder on the end of one of them.
I wondered how much snow you have up there. I'm thinking of going to Haliburton on Sunday - not sure though, we're really busy. Want to get some shots of the lake with the snow outlining the trees like this gorgeous shot! :)
@russianblue was fairly warm today and we lost a bit of what we had on the roof and deck. If Haliburton got as much as we did, you should still be ok in the woodsy areas. hope you have a productive day tomorrow to make room for a Sunday drive north.
