I was headed out for a walk with some friends and snapped this pic en route to the meeting point. We had a light snow fall overnight and it was pretty --- dark and dull but pretty, the kind of day where you get b&w shots whether you want them or not.
It's bizarre that you have snow and we are having a scorching summer. I have never been in snow but one day.....until then I can just admire your photos.
That'as beautiful Anne! We can expect the same by tomorrow morning, It's 14deg C or 57 deg F right now, so I have a difficult time believing that there'll be snow.
This looks gorgeous, almost magical. It "snows" in Houston from time to time, but almost never stays more than a few hours, so I still have a child's appreciation of it. I'm sure it was a beautiful walk.
I think this photo is unique and very interesting. I think of Stephen King getting hit by a car while walking on a similar road years ago. This road looks just like that road in Maine, fading off in the distance. Where you live is much like where I live too.
Very pretty shot. Hope it wasn't too cold for your walk. I love being outside in the winter if the wind's not blowing. I'm sure the light snow put a bit of sparkle into your morning.
This is so beautiful, Anne! The trees and rocks look like like they've been sprinkled with sugar. We got our first snow today, but it melted away quickly.
Wow! I thought this was a B&W shot with selective colouring, but I see it's not! I like this a lot, especially the way you placed the apex of the road slightly off centre. A GREAT shot, Anne!
I love this shot--a fav. The muted gray-day colors are great, especially when compared to the yellow lines. I also like the disappearing lines and road.
You made it a lovely grey day.
