The Christmas village gets set up each year on the mantle. There's a church, a toy store, a bar, a general store and a few others. This little 'house' on the outskirts of town is hands down the grandkids' favourite. They check it out regularly to see if Santa's pulled his pants up yet. The reindeer swinging on the door, peeking through the window seems to want to know too.
If you've been checking out my pics for the last month or so, you may remember this is the one our 4 year old granddaughter kept tucked safely under her arm [ie guarded], while she and her 8 year old cousin put the finishing touches on the display.
funny little thing. this minute villages does magic to one's imagination. i don't particularly want to see santa in the bathroom, but as terry said, it makes you want to step right into it and be part of the scenery. nice shot, anne.
