The Extended Family

There were multiple families Canada Geese sharing a couple of landscaped ponds. This pic captures just a few of them. They were very social with each other and with us too, for that matter. We didn't feed them but just the hint of food, brought them to us, closer than I wanted with a one year old and a 4 year old in tow.

I understand your anxiety.When my grandson was about two, he approached eth Canada geese in our park. with a few breadcrumbs,
AS about 20 of them advanced he suddely realised how BIG they are .. and I too came to increase teh distance between us,

For the most part they seem to get along, but I have seen some get pretty nasty, the protective nature comes out quickly
