If you are uncomfortable seeing people standing on frozen lakes you probably wont be keen to look at this pic too closely. This is a fairly common occurrence around here.
It's mid March but we're still getting frigid temps --- minus12 C this morning! Sometimes in March it has been warm enough to eat a meal on the deck in Tshirts but I don't see that happening this year.
The truck really stands out, and it makes a great capture, but I'm glad I'm not in that vehicle. Vehicles on ice always remind me of the film "The Sweet Hereafter".
Now I've done ice fishing on a lake in Colorado - and loved it - but driving on the ice - don't think so! Really neat shot. So when do you think this will become a "real" lake again??
Great shot. That does looks scary. I posted a picture of people walking out on a frozen lake a little while back and that made me nervous. We've warmed up a little here. It made it to about 52 degrees F here today.
They just made everyone take the fish huts off the lake last weekend in Lake Simcoe. Is winter ever going to end? Environment Canada said we won't be seeing any positive double digit temps anytime soon.
