Double Dipping - an American Goldfinch

I had forgotten the name of this little one until Trina, Jann and Shirley came along [@5unflow3r @jannkc @sabanford]. It's an American Goldfinch. Males and females are very similar in fall and winter so I'm not sure which this is. I think it's a male because the wings are more black than brown/black [McGill Bird Observatory info]. Males in spring and summer are much brighter.

Looks like a goldfinch- could be male as they lose color in the winter. Or female?
