Promise of the spring by susale

Promise of the spring

Finally clear blue sky! Unfortunately I had to spent the whole day inside, I was listening this great speaker. Well it wasn´t all just about listening him cos there was some group discussions too but it was all cool. I got so much out of this day, more tools to work with people.

Anyway I wanted to see the sea this evening and I just sat there watching this view for at least an hour or so. There´s something very calming about the sea, I always feel very whole when I´m by the sea. I have lived my whole life on the coast and I can´t imagine living anywhere else. I don´t need to live by the sea but I have to be able get to the sea when I want to, so I´m never going to move very far from the coast if I can help it. Wohn´t be long now till all the ice is gone, welcome summer, I´m so ready for it already.

This shot btw is straight out of the camera, is it SOOC then, not so familiar with the terminology here.

Fantastic shot!

Wonderful shot, but it looks sooooo cold. I know what you mean about being by the sea it is very calming. It attacks all of the senses sight sound smell all at once. Great shot.

Yes, SOOC is Straight Out Of Camera so that is correct. Well done - it looks very cold where you are! I always lived near the sea until I came to live here and I know what you mean about missing it. It was years before I stopped feeling stifled and I still love to be by water, even if it's only a river.

Yep I'm a water babe too - you might have guessed that. I could spend hours watching water, but I live as far from the sea as it's possible to get in England, a source of great sadness to me. Love this shot, I'd have been sitting, silently beside you

This is a beautiful photograph, I too love the sea, but have never lived close would love to retire near the coast but doubt finances will stretch to it, the sea is a wonderful element and a lovely subject for photography, and where do you live to still have ice? Amazing.

i have never seen the ocean like this before, you done a fab shot capturing this....really wish i could say i'm going to the beach but only have parks here :-(

This image is beautiful, I love it. I too love the sea, I could never move to anywhere that was not near to it. I've only seen the sea frozen like this in the Arctic. Soon that ice will be gone and it will be beautiful blue water again.

I can see and feel why you live by and love the sea. Didn't know it could ice up because of waves. Good to see it is thawing as far as your eyes can see the sea...LOL!
April 22nd, 2013
@eu4ria1 Yes it freezes, it´s so cold here in the winters that the ice is very thick and strong and there are roads on the ice so people can drive from island to island.
April 22nd, 2013
Beautiful! I have never seen ice on a sea before, so that is very interesting to me. You must live in a beautiful area!
April 22nd, 2013
We're sending the heat your way - I can feel it slipping. Cool pic - in more ways than one. ;)
April 22nd, 2013
@smellychelli Thank you Michelle, yes I think we have beautiful landscapes here but we have very cold winters too

@thebluegnu Thank you so much, and thank you for the heat, I can almost feel it already :)
