Excellent composition. Love the simplicity but you have so much to look at that is interesting.:):)..awesome moon. strange cloud is probably a contrail from a plane...:)
I think contrails are great, we don't see them often here because of the warmer atmosphere... well, I think that's why. Maybe we don't have enough planes, lol.
@smalbon I think you´re right, it probably was a condensation trail from an aircraft. I watched a plane go this morning on my way to work and leave excatly a trail like that. Can´t believe how low they are flying! Now be honest, did you order that plane to go excatly at right time to teach me as a lesson ;D ? I shouldn´t have doubted a cloud master himself :)

@fishy I´ve never seen ones that go this low, they´re usually so high in the sky. No definitely don´t think that´s cos of lack in planes when considering your country :D!
Fun shot with three distinct elements - the lamp, the moon and the cloud/contrail -thingy. Very good idea to include them all in this shot. I'm thinking the composition is a bit centered, but was there something distracting outside the frame ? Also, a post-processing tip if you want to try out some GIMPing : Create a new empty layer on top of this image, fill it with black color. Then set the layer in OVERLAY mode --> This will create a darker, more contrast-y feel and should make those clouds pop even more. See, I wrote you a short story :)
Weirdly enough, reminds me of a video game where you use the bat (lamp post) to bounce a ball (moon) to break the wall (cloud) .... I must get out more!

Yes there were some trees there but I suppose I could have found a better spot if I would have moved a bit but didn´t think about it at the time, silly me :) Most definitely going to test that layer thing on this... too bad there´s no way to repost anything here without losing all the comments but then again it´s all about learning so next time I could get it right at the first try, right :)
@susale hahaha I didn't say this was wrong, right ? :) You can also try to duplicate the image and set the top layer to overlay mode. It will enhance the overall contrast and boost the color... if it feels like too much, just adjust the opacity slider on the overlay'ed layer :)
