Nobody on the beach
I feel it in the air
the summer's out of reach
I know I´ve posted a lot of landscapes lately but it occured to me that all of this will be gone in a few weeks, so I should take the most of it while I still can.
What to say about friday, I went swimming in the sea and the water was not that warm anymore so caught a little cold. The end of summer for me, no more swimming in the sea until next summer, not at least in Finland.
I have a touch of seasonal disorder. In other words, I feel very emotional about the passing of summer. It seems you will also miss the warmth and promise of the friendly summer months. This is a peaceful and beautiful photo. Here in NYC, once the calendar turns to November the faces of the city start to disapear. They are hidden by scarfs, hats, shawls, any available barrier from the biting winds. We don't see each other again until late April. Oh, the burden of the cold.
I, too, am lamenting the end of the summer. The nights are getting colder, but the days are still very hot. My son starts school one week from tomorrow... I will miss him during the days.
I love your landscapes. They are so beautiful! It makes me want to visit Finland.
@adamj Oh I hear you Adam, it´s the same for me too and yes I will definitely miss the warmth. I´m so not a winter person and every time I have to let another summer go, it´s a like a little death. As bad as you have it there, believe me it´s many itmes worse here, it´s practically insane how dark and cold it gets here during the winter time and how much clothes are needed, and the snow...well the snow I actually love but I still would trade it for some place warm.
