I went to Bronson Park in downtown Kalamazoo to get a photo of the fountain before it's completely removed. It's been the source of a lot of controversy, as some feel it depicts the white settlers conquering the indigenous people of the region. I have mixed feelings on that part, Built in 1940, it has historical significance. It is a negative reminder, but I think we need to remember our history, be it good or bad.
