The River Irfon

When I walk into town, as I did today, the path takes me alongside the River Irfon. It's very pretty.
It's pretty fast flowing at the moment - nice to see the stream coming in on the opposite side

@susiemc I had not realised it was such a big river - when I looked it up on Wiki i can see why it floods round Builth Wells

The river certainly looks lively .. a lot more of it than I remember .Great picture and very atmospheric .

@virtualbrownie It's one of the main tributaries of the river Wye and brings a lot of water down from the hills. It joins the Wye at Builth Wells.

@pamelaclarke You wouldn't have wanted to jump in yesterday when it was in full spate........and it was cold!
