The Lost Gardens of Heligan

This part is The Jungle. I first went to Heligan in 1995, the last time I was in Cornwall and just 3 years after the gardens opened to the public. I've always wanted to go back and so I was very excited to discover that Heligan is just 30 minutes from where we were staying.
Such beautiful gardens. We went there 2 or 3 years ago in May when the gardens were full of colour.

@foxes37 We loved the gardens, even in February but we'd love to back in the spring/autumn.

@yogisue Yes it was lovely. Perhaps I'll cheat a bit and upload some more photos of Eden and Heligan.

Is this in one of the pods? Does it rain in the pods (controlled), that is a puddle is it? Great shot, just a million questions spring to mind - sorry

Lovely reflections - the fifty shades of green.

@claireuk This it at Heligan, not Eden so it's all outside. It's very sheltered in this particular part and looks almost tropical with the tree ferns. It's difficult to get an idea of scale from this picture but the tree fern in the foreground is probably about 10 - 12 feet tall. The 'puddle' is actually a small lake.

@susiemc Ah well that all makes sense then; I have to say it looked more lake than puddle but I just took the assumption it was Eden. That is a tall fern, so puts it all into perspective, thanks Sue:0)
