Skunk Cabbage by susiemc

Skunk Cabbage

I missed the fine weather this morning. By the time I thought about going outside with my camera it was pouring with rain so here's one from yesterday. These skunk cabbage are in the bog garden of which you'll see more in the coming weeks.
Great shot Sue, I've never seen one of these before!

@yogisue @foxes37 Thank you both for your comments. I bought this many years ago and took a long time to start flowering so we get quite excited when it does. It goes well in the bog garden. It's a kind of Arum Lily as you can probably tell. Sue, you need to see our garden! Lis, I'm sure it's changed since you were last here.

Beautifully captured - first time I saw this was on an American 365er's project last week. It is a lovely plant.

@virtualbrownie Thank you VB. It is quite unusual. I think it's actually called American Skunk cabbage which fits with the American 365er.

@dizzyd @craig3f2 @lilminimonka Thank you for your comments. It is an unusual plant and it's taken years to be like this. Actually we did try to move it one year because it wasn't doing very well and it split into three so now we have three plants! Result!
