We're home again and today we looked inside several of our nesting boxes to see what was happening. When we opened this one we were delighted to find these six Redstart Chicks, almost ready to fledge. A friend is staying with us who rings birds like this so I'll try and post a photo on another day showing him ringing some chicks, or an adult. For the benefit of my friends on 365 I took my life in my hands and climbed a ladder, in my wellies, on rough, sloping, uneven ground just to get this photo. I think it was worth it, I hope you do too.
I'm sorry I've got so behind with comments. I will catch up. I do appreciate and value all of your comments and I love all your photos.
A magnificent achievement Sue -- photographically ,physically ( hip ) and personally ( bravery ) !! You are seeing things most of us don't ever see so thanks for recording and sharing them.x
@dizzyd@virtualbrownie@han918@craig3f2@lynne53 Thank you all for your comments. It was a very exciting evening. I will post more of the photos I took. I was a bit stiff the next morning after all the clambering about but it was worth it.
