This was the view from my bedroom window this afternoon. It's a long time since the river burst it's banks like this. We've had quite a lot of rain just lately but today it was torrential, all day long.
One of these days I'll learn how to get rid of telephone wires spoiling my pictures.
Oh my..... Could that become a real probably for you? Could it get much too close for comfort? Scary. Yes, I wish I knew how to get rid of wires and other "debris" that photobombs my photo taking.
@gilbertwood@aglennc We're not in any danger of flooding from below because we're too high up but there's a steep hill behind us with gullies to take away the water during heavy rain. In the autumn we have to make sure these gullies don't get clogged up with leaves.
I know one puppy who likes that river and would be disappointed that it's burst its banks.... Lots of delicate photoshop work, find a different position to shot from ( get dressed before going out though). Then there is also pliers...!!!!
Great capture but oh this flooding is such a worry. We've had a lot of rain too. This used to be the driest part of the country but it's certainly not the case now. So glad you are perched on high ground.
