The Prince of Wales Feathers

These are crocuses just outside the wall of Cardiff Castle planted in the shape of The Prince of Wales Feathers. This is the heraldic badge of The Prince of Wales. It consists of 3 white ostrich feathers emerging from a gold coronet and on the actual badge there's a ribbon below the coronet which bears the motto Ich dien, 'I serve' in German.
I was in Cardiff today so it seemed appropriate to post this photo, even though I actually took it a week ago. It did look just the same today.
What a lovely display, I have never seen crocuses used in this fashion, it looks marvellous
