This is a close-up of the seed head of a plant which must be a member of the dandelion family but it was HUGE!

Great close up. It is the seed head of Goatsbeard also known as Jack-go-to-bed-at-noon because the yellow dandelion like flowers only open in the morning. I am away so cannot refer to my book to confirm the family it belongs to
