Planting out the Giant Redwood
We bought this Giant Redwood from The Lost Gardens of Heligan as a small seedling in March 2014 (
http://365project.org/susiemc/365/2014-03-03).
I posted follow-up pictures 1 year later (
http://365project.org/susiemc/365/2015-03-05)
and 2 years later (
http://365project.org/susiemc/365/2016-03-19)
Today it finally came out of a pot and Mr C planted it in the garden. I hope it likes it's new home and continues to grow well.

Upits doing well now Sue, I expect it will romp away now. Such massive trees, you have certainly left a lovely legacy!

I am sure it will be really happy in its new home and thrive.

Can't believe how much this has grown. But look out now it's in the ground - it'll probably grow like fury :)

Thank you for your comments and interest in our giant redwood. It seems to like the climate here so hopefully it will grow well. I'll keep you posted.

My aim would be to see it fully grown and 100's of years old!

@chimfa
I think that when I'm very old I shall ask one of my grandchildren to bring me here to see this tree.
