Spring has arrived at Dinas

Many lambs in other areas are quite big by now but this was taken at Dinas rspb reserve in the Cambrian Mountains in Carmarthenshire (45 minutes from where I live) and spring comes late. There were a lot of very cute, very tiny lambs. The sheep and lambs were actually in a field adjacent to the reserve.
So sweet -- better chance for survival for them now that it is later in the season and hopefully better weather

@beryl Thank you Beryl. Yes, you're absolutely right. Most of the farmers around here make sure the lambs are born quite late to avoid the worst of the weather.

@brennieb We've had dry weather for quite a while now which is good for the lambs. Apparently they can cope with cold weather much better than wet. They all look healthy.

@carole_sandford They're gorgeous aren't they.

@koalagardens These ones were very small, can't have been more than a few days old.

@onewing Thank you Babs. I always feel so sorry for them when the shearers come. Although they wait until summer the poor sheep must still feel the cold.
