Water Lilies by susiemc

Water Lilies

This pond is in our friend's garden, a quarter of a mile away (nearest neighbours). I do feel it's appropriate to photograph and post these water lilies because this plant started out as a small sprig taken from the plant in our pond. This pond is much bigger than ours and the lilies have more room to grow and are doing much better than the one in our pond. The fact that Emily and Oscar spent half term week fishing for newts and tadpoles in our pond won't have helped :)
Beautiful lilies, but the thought of children fishing for newts is worth every missed flower.

@cruiser Thank you Chris. We hope than once we've moved and Chris has put a pond in our new garden (one of the first things he does I'm sure) we're hoping our friends will return the favour and give us a sprig from their well eastablished plant.

@merrelyn Thank you Merrelyn, I love them too, especially this colour.

@bigmxx Thank you Michelle. I know what you mean, they look as if you could pick them up and reaarange them.
