Reedmace

I always thought these were called bulrushes but my clever cloggs biologist husband tells me it's reedmace and bulrushes are something completely different. I googled it and it seems he is actually right but this has become commonly known as bulrushes, so I'm right too :)
Well I have learnt something too, I would have called these bulrushes too Sue.

I've never heard of reedmace, something new I've learnt today! I also photographed something that looked like these today but they were no where near water so I'm not sure what mine are called!

@happypat @bigmxx @daveymo @foxes37 Thank you all for your comments. I think there are more of us that call them bulrushes than reedmace so as Lis says...sorry Chris.

@aglennc I found that name when I googled it and I'd never heard it before. It didn't say 'that's what they're called in America' so thank you Anita for explaining.

@30pics4jackiesdiamond I agree Jackie but on this occasion we're all right, even if he does still think he's more right than everyone else :)
