It was rather a bleak day when we went to the orchid festival, cold and very dull. It didn't matter when we were in the glass house but we did spend some time wandering around the gardens. The glasshouse in this picture is the Palm House, an iconic Victorian glasshouse. The rainforest climate inside supports a unique collection of tropical plants from some of the most threatened environments on Earth.
