It’s a camelia. It’s an unusual shaped flower isn’t it and it must be a late variety as most camelias have finished flowering.

Those are leaves actually. It’s an acer. When the leaves first open out earlier in the year they’re a bright vivid red and they look even more like flowers then. Thank you for commenting.
