Abergavenny and Beyond from Sugar Loaf

Today Nicola and I went for a long walk. We climbed to the top of Sugar Loaf, one of the highest peaks in the Black Mountains . It stands at 596m high and there are panoramic views across South Wales, the Brecon Beacons, and into south-west England.

It was a long and difficult climb but worth it for the views. There were some threatening clouds at times but the rain held off untill we got back to the car.
That is a glorious view...I have only been to Abergavenny once, my brother was at boarding school there many years ago!

We did the slopes years ago when our children were small. Beautiful part of the country. Then this year we were lucky enough to go to the one in Rio. ...up to the top by cable car. The easy way both times!
