We have 9 rhododendrons in our garden and in this collage there's a photo of each of them. The first one (with the butterfly) was taken on the 13th April and the last one was taken today. They've been beautiful for nearly 2 months but sadly that's about it for another year.
How lovely that they have such a long run in your garden. Is it because different varieties open at different times or do they each keep blooming for that long a period?
@gardencat They’re all different varieties and they all seem to flower at slightly different times. They’re never all flowering at the same time but there is overlap so flowering is continuous. Thank you for commenting.
@susiemc My peonies used to work like that but the last two years we've had weeks of below normal temperature and everything seems to stall, then suddenly we have two or three days of super hot sunny weather, everything opens at once, and the season is over in a week. I wish it would stop doing that!
