I don't know who's birthday it is but what a lovely way to spend it.
Today I went into Wales for the first time since the 15th March and met my friend Nicola, my walking buddy. We only live 5 minutes from the border with Wales but lockdown has been much more strict there than in England. We weren't allowed to go into Wales and Nicola, who lives in Wales, wasn't allowed to go further than 5 miles so we couldn't meet up. Those restrictions have now been lifted so today we met in Brecon and had a lovely walk along the Brecon and Monmouth canal. The canal was busy with boats and the towpath was busy with walkers and cyclists. Everyone seemed to be happy to be out and about.
This barge is actually going across the aquaduct. The river Usk is down below.

I love bunting so this photo attracts me lots. I would keep my bunting up all year round if I could! How lovely meeting up with your friend. It’s the simple things like that we have all missed.
