Soon after we moved to this house we bought two cannas on impulse because they looked stunning in the garden centre (they were quite expensive!) They're tender so they need to be brought inside or put in a very sheltered place for the winter. After the first winter Chris split them so we had four. After the second winter he split them again so then we had eight. We gave two to our neighbour and kept six. They have been flowering for months and have been (still are) absolutely awesome. What's more we can enjoy the ones in our neighbour's garden. Some of the flowers are red and some are yellow and some are red and yellow. Some of the leaves are green, some are dark red and some are green and dark red stripes. After next winter Chris will split them again and we'll have twelve!! They might have been expensive but they were definitely good value.
