I've never made Christmas puddings before but I thought I'd have a go. It's a much lighter recipe than the traditional one and uses butter instead of suet. I saw the recipe in this month's Good Food Magazine and thought it sounded good.
Yummy. I’m assuming that Christmas pudding is like what we call plum pudding (although I don’t remember it having any plums in the recipe). When I was a kid we always had one at Christmas and I remember we had a running dispute over the sauce. Some preferred my mother’s lemon sauce and some her caramel sauce.
You’re in good time....the lighter recipe sounds good...even I might be tempted to try your version! You will be very proud on the day when you set light to it!!

disappeared but I can taste it now.
