We never put any decorations up before December but now it is December!! I couldn't resist these penguins in our local garden centre a little while ago although I really don't know what penguins have to do with Christmas.
Well it’s cold weather stuff so all good. They are cute so you will enjoy them. I never put decorations up this early & wouldn't be now if we were putting a real tree up...they will be well past their best by the day itself. I have out the small one with lights up in the hall just because I feel it’s time this year.
In order to avoid icy, snowy, installations we may sometimes put outside lights up before December first, but I don't turn them on till December starts. In fact I have been known to make less than charitable remarks about people who do but, this year, my daughter started turning the outside lights on last week and I didn't have the heart to object. Seems we can use every little bit of extra light or joy available this year. Your penguin is cute even if, like so many 'traditional' Christmas decorations or practices it's connection to the original meaning of Christmas is a bit obscure.
