We finally managed to eat some Christmas Pudding. I posted a photo of two puddings on the day that I made them and explained that it wasn’t quite the traditional type. It was lighter in both colour and texture and was made with less fruit and no suet ( butter instead). It was absolutely delicious and I can recommend it to anyone who, like me, finds the traditional pudding just too heavy.
We didn’t pour brandy on it and set fire to it, Chris wasn’t prepared to donate any of his expensive brandy 😂. There was brandy in the cream which we poured over the pudding.
If anyone wants the recipe just google good food lighter christmas pudding.
Now even I could enjoy that Christmas pudding I reckon. Light in colour & not as heavy....it’s the strong flavours I don’t like in Christmas food. I’m sure all enjoyed it!
I confess, I do like the dark and heavy-with-fruit old fashioned kind but this does sound wonderful too. I didn't get any of either kind this year so I am a tad jealous of you.
