I don't really like shopping, I'd rather be walking in the countryside or around beautiful gardens but I do like to go to John Lewis occasionally. I bought a new Fitbit watch three months ago from John Lewis online and it's stopped working. It's impossible to talk to anyone in a store these days, all communication is done by email or live chat. This proved to be most unsatisfactory so I decided to take it back to the store in Cardiff this morning. It's the first time we've been to any shops for over a year and I hadn't been to John Lewis since 2019 so I was a bit anxious. In fact it was a very pleasant experience. The store was calm and quiet and my Fitbit watch was exchanged for a new one without any fuss and..............the scone with jam and cream was scrumptious. We didn't go to any other shops, that would have been way too scary 😂🤣
I would love to go to a John Lewis but our nearest one is south Manchester so a bit of a trek. Sounds like my idea of a great day out, unlike you I love shopping!
No non-essential shopping allowed around here, right now, as we are locked down due to an uncomfortably high level of new cases. I don’t find it that big a sacrifice honestly. You can still visit groceries, drugstores, liquor stores and, as long as they are outside, nurseries.
I’m not going anywhere so I don’t need new clothes...the thing I am missing most is a haircut.
I bought a cheap FitBit a few weeks ago, it ended up in the draw as it wouldn't connect to my phone. Think I would rather have your scone with jam and a large dollop of cream. John Lewis, don't you have to pay to breath in there, like Waitrose. FAV.
