I made eccles cakes for Chris on Valentine’s Day. It’s what he always chooses if they’re available when we go to a coffee shop but I’d never actually made them myself until now. They were pretty good for a first attempt although I shouldn’t be blowing my own trumpet 😂.
@beryl Thank you Beryl. I hadn’t managed to buy a card but he was delighted with these and said they were better than any card. I have to admit, I’ve enjoyed them too. Definitely something to add to my repertoire.
I love these although we almost never seem to get them over here in Canada. The closest I can usually come is mince tarts. Did you make your own filling?
