I like that simple peony…a bush peony…not sure what the difference is but can Google. We have two peony plants we inherited & they are full of buds so will be interesting to see.
Beautiful, with that lovely full centre and single row of petals. I'm assuming a bush peony is what I'd call a herbaceous or 'garden style' peony. I have several varieties of peonies that are meant to bloom over about a 3 or 4 week period but, when the weather is very hot at the end of May, they all seem to come into bloom at once and we have one amazing, but super short, display.
