Peony by susiemc

Peony

This is the first bush peony to flower in the garden. I took the photo yesterday. Everything seems to be flowering at once.
Fav. Brilliant capture of this gorgeous flower

I like that simple peony…a bush peony…not sure what the difference is but can Google. We have two peony plants we inherited & they are full of buds so will be interesting to see.

We have two types of peonies & they are quite different from each other. Different to this one also. Pretty capture!

A great close-up, Sue, complete with delicate raindrops on the pink petals! Fav

Beautiful, with that lovely full centre and single row of petals. I'm assuming a bush peony is what I'd call a herbaceous or 'garden style' peony. I have several varieties of peonies that are meant to bloom over about a 3 or 4 week period but, when the weather is very hot at the end of May, they all seem to come into bloom at once and we have one amazing, but super short, display.
