Some very good friends, Madeleine and Bob, stayed with us for one night on their way from Stevenage to Pembroke Dock in West Wales, where they'll get the ferry to Ireland. They're spending the next three weeks there. Madeleine had some lovely tulips in her garden and realised that no-one would be able to enjoy them and they would be well and truly over by the time they returned. Before leaving she picked them all and brought them for me. What a kind thought. Aren't they lovely?
