First Day Back!

It's that time of year again, first day back at school after the holidays.
This is Hettie aged 4 and still in nursery (if she'd been born 2 days earlier she'd be in Reception, the first year of 'proper' school. As it is she has another whole year in nursery), Charlotte (middle) aged 14 and starting in Year 10 and Freya (right) aged 12 and starting in Year 8. I think Niki, their Mum, had a hard time getting them all to cooperate this morning. Charlotte has a beautiful smile but we rarely see it these days. I hope it's just a teenage thing and that it will soon pass.
They must have been very hot in their uniforms today as it was around 29 degrees centigrade.
