Christmas Donkey

Our local garden centre always has a few animals at Christmas. Usually they have reindeer but this year there are donkeys, goats and alpacas. I do like goats and alpacas but I don't think they have a lot to do with Christmas. I just loved this donkey with it's enormous ears. There were two donkeys and they were both very friendly and wanted to be stroked.

Donkeys always look so sweet in spite of being full of character! We wintered some summer donkeys once & they were a nightmare escaping all the time! We only did it once!

Lovely animals but they can be incredibly noisy! There were a couple in the field behind our house a few years ago & they were braying at all hours !
