I've always wanted an Agapanthus. We bought one when we lived at the old house but it didn't live long. I don't think the climate suited it. We're trying again here in Herefordshire and I'm so excited that this one is flowering. I don't know if it's one of those plants where the first flowers die before the rest open out so I decided to take a photo today just in case it is.
oh well done, lovely specimen! it must be the right place for them here as I have hundreds, both this colour and the white one. I hope yours expands and gives you many blooms for many years. I am very partial to them too :)
Gorgeous. We have a couple of plants in the garden and have never had more than one flower at a time until this year - they obviously LOVE our heatwave and I must have about 30 flowers on them. I am sure yours will do the same in a couple of years.
One of my favourite flowers. It will really enjoy your lovely hot summer this year. Ours won't be flowering for quite a while, but I can't wait to see their gorgeous bloom.
