Common Sandpiper and Chick

Taken at Loch Morlich near Aviemore 6th July 2014

It's unusual to see a Sandpiper in a tree but we were walking along the shore of the lake when we heard and then spotted the chick down in the grass. The parent bird became very agitated and started flitting from tree to tree and branch to branch. Fortunately it stayed still long enough for me to get a picture.
