Eristalis Tenax (Drone Fly or European Hoverfly)

I originally thought this was a bee but my learned friend Pamela thinks it'a a drone fly or European Hoverfly and after researching it I'm sure she's right. They're good insects to have in the garden because they pollinate and they don't sting.Taken in the garden last September.
