I know it's odd that I get excited about Starlings but they're such attractive birds. We had just stopped at the Reading Services on the M4 for a cup of tea before hitting the M25 and a flock of these were making such a din in a tree just where we parked the car. Of course my camera wasn't far away.
I agree. I think you have captured the plumage well. I don't go a bundle on starlings usually but they look so attractive here. When they gather on the sails of the windmill they look quite menacing.

It's only really when you see them close up and in the sun that you realise they've got this beautiful iridescent plumage and beautiful markings. Warning - I took more photos of starlings at Rainham Marshes.
