The 'Mystery Goose' Again

This is a close-up of my mystery goose which I posted a few days ago.I'm now fairly confident that it is a cross between a Canada Goose and a White Fronted Goose (possibly a Lesser White fronted because of the ring around it's eye). I'm very happy to be corrected by any of you bird-y people out there.

I'm no bird expert, don't even know what a Whits fronted goose looks like but I do know that the Canada geese often have a white or light ring around the eye too. Thanks for posting I love seeing the birds and then working out the ID's.

You are probably right. Geese are difficult as there are so many domestics in the mix as well.

@beryl @thimblelady @gardencat @craig3f2 THank you all for your comments and useful contributions. I agree Craig that crosses with domestic escapees make identification difficult. I think we'll just stick with the Canada/White Fronted Cross.
