This very handsome chap seems to live under a big rhododendron bush in the garden. He's very nervous but I was sitting very quietly on a bench this afternoon and he wandered out, not realising I was there. This is the first reasonable picture I've taken of a pheasant NOT through glass. It looks better on black if you have the time.
I have to confess, I have a new camera, an early birthday present. It's an upgrade for my little 'handbag' camera. It's a Panasonic Lumix TZ70 and it's brilliant!! It made sense to get it now while my bridge camera is being repaired.
(I managed to set the date wrong on my new camera!! What an idiot. I've put it right now)
